About Duplia
The only fractional CMO practice built exclusively for industrial B2B.
Founded by Patricia Gunter, 25 years inside industrial organizations. Strategy, structure, accountability, and alignment. That is what Duplia brings.
THE GAP
Most industrial companies operate with discipline across every function that drives business performance.
Finance is structured. Operations runs lean. Engineering is precise. Sales has clear leadership and accountability.
Marketing is the exception. In most industrial B2B organizations marketing is expected to drive growth without executive ownership, without a strategic framework, and without a seat at the leadership table. It becomes an added responsibility assigned to whoever has capacity, not whoever has the expertise to lead it.
That gap does not show up immediately. But it compounds, in fragmented brands, misaligned sales and marketing teams, and growth that stalls without a clear reason why.
Duplia was built to close it.

Vision
.
A world where every industrial company, regardless of size, revenue, or the current state of its marketing function, has marketing that is aligned to strategy, led with discipline, and capable of driving real growth.
Industrial companies build products that move the world. They deserve marketing that moves their business.

Mission
.
To bring structured marketing leadership to every industrial B2B and manufacturing organization that is ready to treat marketing with the same discipline as every other function that drives growth.
Not marketing services. Not campaign execution. Not generalist advice adapted to an industrial context.
Executive marketing leadership. Built exclusively for industrial B2B. Delivered side by side with the leadership teams who need it most.
The Philosophy
The name Duplia comes from two ideas held together.
Duplo means marketing and strategy aligned, the conviction that the two cannot operate as separate disciplines. When they are disconnected, marketing produces activity without direction and strategy produces plans without commercial momentum. When they work as one, growth becomes intentional, repeatable, and aligned with business performance.
Industria is the Latin root for industry, diligence, and purposeful effort. It reflects the only market Duplia serves. Industrial B2B is not a vertical covered alongside others. It is the only environment Duplia works in — manufacturing companies, engineered product companies, industrial distributors, organizations where buying cycles are long, stakeholders are technical, and commercial relationships are built over years.
This combination, alignment of marketing and strategy, exclusivity of industrial focus, is what the name Duplia represents. And it shapes every engagement.
Values
Partnership over advising
Duplia works embedded inside the organization. The difference between a partner and an advisor is accountability. Duplia does not advise and move on. It works side by side with leadership teams and owns the outcomes alongside them.
Industrial expertise, not generalist adaptation
Every framework, every recommendation, and every insight Duplia brings is built for industrial markets — not borrowed from SaaS or professional services and adapted here. Twenty-five years inside industrial organizations is not a background. It is the qualification.
Discipline in everything
Structure, clear ownership, defined accountability, and measured outcomes. These are the standards Duplia holds marketing to — the same standards industrial organizations already apply to operations, finance, and engineering.
Alignment between strategy and execution
Strategy without execution is a document. Execution without strategy is noise. Duplia connects the two — ensuring every marketing decision is grounded in business objectives and every execution choice serves a coherent commercial direction.
Side by side, not above
Duplia does not manage from a distance or deliver recommendations for someone else to implement. The work happens inside the organization, alongside the internal team, with the same presence and commitment as a full-time executive.
The Founder
Patricia Gunter
Founder & Fractional Chief
Marketing Officer
25 years inside industrial organizations. VP-level marketing leadership across the Americas. Strategy, marketing, business intelligence, pricing, and M&A integration.
Patricia Gunter founded Duplia after more than 25 years working inside industrial organizations across the Americas.
Her career was built at the intersection of marketing and business performance. As Vice President of Marketing for the Americas at AMMEGA, she led marketing and communications strategy across multiple industrial brands, aligning regional teams under one growth vision across North and Latin America. Prior to that, at Emerson, she directed strategic marketing, business intelligence, pricing, and M&A initiatives within the HVACR and Building Technologies divisions, contributing to sustained double-digit growth, regional integration of acquired businesses, and the implementation of data-driven processes that improved both profitability and commercial discipline.
Across every role and every organization she saw the same pattern.
Disciplined operations. Disciplined finance. Disciplined engineering.
Marketing handed a camera and told to drive growth.
The gap was never about effort. It was about structure. About the absence of executive marketing leadership in organizations that expected marketing to perform at an executive level.
That observation, repeated across companies, markets, and years, is what led Patricia to build Duplia. Not to observe the problem from the outside. To solve it from the inside.
Who Duplia Works With
Duplia partners with industrial B2B organizations that are ready to treat marketing with the same discipline as every other function that drives performance.
Industrial executives and leadership teams who recognize that marketing is not delivering at the level the business requires — and want to understand why and what to do about it.
Private Equity portfolio leadership navigating growth, acquisition, or exit preparation — where marketing structure, brand architecture, and commercial alignment directly affect valuation and performance.
Industrial companies growing through acquisition — where brand fragmentation, sales misalignment, and inconsistent positioning are eroding the value that deals were designed to create.
Mid-market industrial organizations with lean marketing teams — where the gap between what marketing is being asked to deliver and the structure available to deliver it has become impossible to ignore.
